Description

Here at Solutions30 we provide solutions for new technologies across Europe, and are currently seeking a Head of Build to join our team in the UK. Reporting into our Wireless Deployment Director, the Head of Build will be responsible for the resourcing, performance, quality and Health and Safety of the internal and external resources deployed to deliver services into the Wireless Deployment department.

The Head of Build will also be responsible for:
• Line management of several discipline leads, providing guidance and support to develop teams that are fit for purpose and achieve the required outcomes.
• Delivering forecasted build volumes utilising internal and external resources and suppliers, on time and within agreed budgets.
• Managing resources to achieve forecasted volume output, develop internal resources where appropriate, maximise utilization.
• Working with the Programme Management and QS function, ensure commercial performance is aligned with business KPI’s and operational activities are fully covered within agreed pricing, overseeing the production of SOW and POW documentation to facilitate this.
• Working with Supplier Management function to identify and onboard suitable Subcontractor suppliers, completing due diligence and onward audit and assessment of works to ensure quality and costs are met.
• Developing relationships with appropriate client representatives including but not limited to, Delivery Managers, Health and Safety Managers, Quality audit teams.
• Obtain and utilise expertise in client technical requirements, specs, systems and working practices.
• Support the compliance of internal and external processes, seek continuous improvement, and strive for a Right-First-Time environment.
• Working with the Quality Manager, manage project related defect and revisit activities, identify root cause, and implement changes to improve performance, reduce cost and future incidents.
• Manage the HOP process to ensure client and internal KPI’s are adhered to.

About the Candidate

We would welcome applications from candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience on telecommunications build projects, specifically within mobile networks infrastructure.
• Formal Project Management accreditation would be advantageous.
• Solid understanding of CDM 2015 and H&S Regulations.
• Resource Management experience.
• Experience in managing subcontractor relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Open to travel to Clients and other Solutions30 offices as required.
