IT PMO Manager
Remote (with travel expected both in the UK and Europe)

At Solutions30 we provide Solutions for new technologies throughout the UK and Europe within the Telecom, IT, and Energy sectors. As we continue to grow and develop our service offerings, we are seeking a passionate IT PMO Manager to help develop our PMO and act as the link between strategic business management and our IT teams.

Reporting to the Group CIO, the IT PMO Manager will be accountable for the overall IT Project Portfolio Governance process and the IT project management framework. The IT PMO Manager will oversee the IT Project Managers/Coordinators in the organization and will ensure projects are tracked and reported on accurately.

The IT PMO Manager will also be responsible for:
• Accountable for the IT Project Portfolio processes including IT roadmap planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity alignment • Ensuring project management standards are executed across the IT project portfolio
• Driving improvements into the IT PMO program and ensure industry best practices are leveraged
• Performing team member supervision including performance management, career growth and development to ensure the team is properly trained and staffed to manage the projected workload.
• Analyzing project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects
• Providing leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with IT teams to outline work plans alongside attending project steering committee meetings and status reports
• Managing escalated project risks and issues and implement mitigation plans
• Ensuring project goals are accomplished in line with business objectives
• Directing and coordinating activities of projects to ensure IT delivers on schedule and within project budget

About the Candidate

We would welcome applicants with the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience performing project management role on complex projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience managing an IT Portfolio or IT Project Management Office
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and software development projects
• Experience managing external partner relationships and contract staff
• Experience in field services industry would be desirable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write about technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrable ability to set and meet goals, assess resource needs, develop schedules, monitor and communicate status, and develop processes and procedures
• Experience working with virtual teams
